G6PD Operations Research Community of Practice Webinar

The webinar will take place at on October 30th, from 6 AM to 7AM Pacific Standard Time (2 - 3PM Central European time).

It will explore considerations for communicating results and counselling in the context of G6PD testing. Presenter include:

Nicole van der Merwe, PhD, will discuss foundational principles that genetic counselors use to ethically communicate individual findings. Dr. van der Merwe is a fully qualified genetic counselor and Medical Scientist Project Manager in the department of Chemical Pathology at Stellenbosch University.

Eva Maria Cutiongco-De La Paz, MD, will share themes from the approach to counselling for G6PD as part of the Philippines National Institute of Health’s newborn screening program. Dr. Cutiongco-De La Paz is an Executive Director at the National Institutes of Health, University of the Philippines Manila.
