Several new drugs for the treatment and prevention of malaria have come into use since the observations were made which are to be recorded. These drugs are more efficient antimalarial agents than are quinine, atabrine and plasmoquin which were available for the treatment of malaria in the Pacific theatres during the war. Hence the data to be presented and the conclusions which are drawn from them are largely of historical interest.
