G6PD Operations Research Community of Practice

The G6PD Operations Research Community of Practice (GORCoP) is a collaboration of researchers, organizations, malaria control programs, and clinicians committed to moving forward the introduction and scale-up of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) diagnostics to support the safe access of radical cure treatment for Plasmodium vivax malaria via operations research.

There are a number of G6PD diagnostics currently available and in the diagnostics pipeline that could enhance access to safe radical cure. The overarching objective of the GORCoP is to understand and prepare for the changes that health systems are to undergo to adopt these tests.

This community of practice intends to put together best practices and lessons learned from the various stakeholders, benefiting from the expertise of participants in areas such as diagnostic introduction, operations research, implementation science, quality assurance, and training. Learn more about the GORCoP.

To promote knowledge sharing, the GORCoP has developed a digital central repository of resources that is accessible to all registered participants. Materials offered to registered participants include:

  • Lessons learned from introducing G6PD tests.
