SCOPE Indonesia

The Indonesian SCOPE study is sponsored by the Menzies School of Health Research and led by the Indonesia Ministry of Health, Universitas Gadjah Mada, University of Indonesia, and Universitas Sumatera Utara, Papuan Health and Community Development Foundation in Timika and Tridarma Healthcare Empowerment Foundation. The goal of the study is to determine the operational feasibility and cost-effectiveness of introducing the revised case management package for patients with P. vivax malaria to inform national antimalarial policy and practice.

The pre-implementation stage started in July 2023, with the first patient enrolled in stage 1 for treatment with G6PD testing and PQ on 16th October 2023.
