Targeting Mobile and Migrant Populations to Prevent Malaria Reintroduction

As malaria programs move towards elimination, adapting surveillance and response systems is crucial due to changing epidemiology and clustered reservoirs of infection. Identifying high-risk populations, such as mobile and migrant populations (MMPs), is vital as their behaviors contribute significantly to sustaining transmission and pose challenges for reintroduction following elimination. This webinar will delve into the challenges of connecting imported and indigenous cases in Nepal, from implementing the grid-based surveillance strategy along the Yunnan-Myanmar border to conducting proactive case detection by Mobile Malaria Workers in Cambodia.
